The Steubenville North Choice Neighborhood Ambassadors, residents taking an active role in assisting the project, have been “instrumental in creating and coordinating” the gardening event, said Eliza Kelley, president and founder of EMIT Training Consultants, which handles the Steubenville North project’s day-to-day operations in collaboration with the city and Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority.
“We proudly give back to the community and disseminate accurate and factual information,” Kelley said.
STEUBENVILLE — A new community learning center in the North End is one step closer to reality, following Tuesday’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Steubenville North Choice Neighborhoods Plan’s early action project.
Eliza Kelley is the president and founder of EMIT Training Consultants, which handles the plan’s day-to-day operations in collaboration with JMHA and the city. She said after the ceremony that clear communication and community engagement are key to the plan achieving its goal of bettering the neighborhood, housing and the lives of residents. “This was a wonderful event,” Kelley said. “It culminated in the future of what we want to see for our community. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this.”
EMIT Training Consultants has secured a contract for diversity and inclusion training for Tomtreyco McDonald’s.
“We are looking forward to delivering top-notch diversity training for Tomtreyco McDonald’s,” said Eliza Kelley, president and founder of EMIT. “The subjects of diversity and inclusion are important in the workforce to promote growth, understanding and equity.”
Josh Barnett, Tomtreyco’s chief strategy officer, said “We’re grateful that Michael McIntyre from the NAACP introduced us to EMIT. This relationship will expand our ongoing support of cultural diversity.”
